Yuhao Fu joins Virtuosi Racing for the 2024 ROKiT British F4 Season

Virtuosi Racing is pleased to announce Yuhao Fu for the 2024 season of the ROKiT F4 British Championship, certified by the FIA.

The Chinese youngster becomes the British squad’s second confirmed signing for the season ahead, teaming up with Hungarian karting ace Martin Molnár, who was announced on Monday, March 11.

Fu joins the Norfolk-based team with a handful of rounds of F4 racing under his belt. After stepping up from karting, he previously competed in two rounds of the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship in 2023, finishing sixth in only his second event before later taking part in the 2024 F4 UAE winter series.

The 15-year-old driver’s British F4 campaign will be his first full season competing in single-seaters, and he’ll be hoping to learn from the successful FIA Formula 2 team.

On the signing of Fu, Virtuosi Racing’s F4 team boss, Mark Salmon, said, “We’re pleased to welcome Felix (Yuhao Fu) to the Virtuosi family. We, as a team, are looking forward to helping him develop in this beginning phase of his racing career and to watching him improve and hit the targets set for this year.”

Yuhao Fu: “I am very happy to be joining such a good team as Virtuosi Racing. I hope to perform well with the team and get a good result in the new British F4 season.”

Virtuosi is entering its third year in British F4 following the team’s decision to expand into the championship after it was taken over by British motorsport governing body Motorsport UK in 2022. The British squad has collected two wins so far in British F4 and will be looking to add to the tally in 2024.

Round 1 of the 2024 ROKiT F4 British Championship, certified by the FIA season, will be held at Donington Park on April 27–28. It will be followed by a further nine rounds, including two current F1 venues, the iconic Silverstone Circuit, and a first-ever international race, with the championship heading to the Dutch coastline to race at Circuit Zandvoort. The championship will continue to run in support of the British Touring Car Championship, joining them for eight of the ten races, and will be broadcast live on ITV.
