Snetterton calling for British F4’s single-seater stars

Snetterton hosts the third stop on the calendar for the 2026 Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by FIA this weekend (23-24 May) and with the opening six races of the season having served up five different winners, the question now is who will be next to stake their claim?

Providing the first rung on the ladder to Formula 1, the UK’s premier single-seater series has enjoyed a spectacular start to the 2026 campaign, with the capacity 30-car entry list of future stars delivering plenty of blockbuster moments across Donington Park and Brands Hatch already.

Now, Britain’s Formula 4 category descends on Norfolk for the first leg of a pivotal double-header that will culminate at the Home of British Motor Racing, Silverstone, the following weekend. Simply put, these six races across the subsequent seven days will be critical in the battle for supremacy.

Riding a wave of momentum into Snetterton is Dries Van Langendonck (Rodin Motorsport) who continues to occupy top spot in the standings, after claiming an incredible second win of the season last time out at Brands Hatch.

Taking a gamble to pit for slicks on a slowly drying track in race three, the Belgian – who is part of the McLaren Driver Development Programme – produced an overtaking masterclass as he carved his way through the field in under eight minutes to ultimately triumph.

As a result, Van Langendonck goes into the weekend with a 23-point advantage over Mercedes-AMG Junior Driver Ethan Jeff-Hall (Argenti Motorsport) who continued his fine start to the year by also standing on the top step of the podium last time out.

Tommy Harfield (Chris Dittmann Racing) ignited his championship challenge with a fine podium and fightback drive at Brands Hatch to move up to third, narrowly ahead of Red Bull ace Scott Kin Lindblom (Hitech) and Donington Park winner Joseph Smith (Virutosi Racing).

Sixth-placed Theo Palmer (Hitech) will be looking to add to his solitary podium this season, whilst Kit Belofsky (Fortec Motorsports) and Jarrett Clark (Virutosi Racing) will have a spring in their step after they enjoyed success at Brands Hatch – with Clark notably winning the reverse grid contest.

Completing the top ten as it stands is Adam Al Azhari (Hitech) who was a double pole sitter and podium finisher last time out and the impressive Lewis Wherrell and Timo Jüngling (JHR Developments), who continue to push Van Langendonck in the coveted Rookie Cup.

Of course, the list of names to look out for extend well beyond the top ten. Ethan Lennon (Rodin Motorsport) was victorious in round two whilst Xcel Motorsport duo Cole Hewetson and Jaber Alsabah, as well as Cash Felber (Fortec Motorsports) scored maiden podiums at Brands Hatch.

Chiara Bättig (Hitech) and Ethan Carney (Fortec Motorsports) each scored career-best results just over a week ago, while the Argenti Motorsport trio of Leon Hedfors, Sun Anzhe and Vegard Klemetsen have turned plenty of heads so far with an upturn in performance.

Aiming to make their mark over at Chris Dittmann Racing alongside the aforementioned Harfield is Henry Mercier, Daniella Sutton and the returning Piotr Orzechowski. Both Jackson Wolny and the impressive Mate Kobakhidze will hope to do the same for Xcel Motorsport.

Completing the grid for this weekend’s triple-header is George Proudford-Nalder (Virtuosi Racing), Roman Felber (Fortec Motorsports), Alfie Slater (Rodin Motorsport) and JHR Developments’ talented duo of Cameron Nelson and Haarni Sadiq. All endured a tough meeting at Brands Hatch and will have eyes on progress at Snetterton.
