REZA SEEWOORUTHUN CLAIMS FIRST C1RCUIT POLE AWARD OF THE 2024 SEASON – DEAGEN FAIRCLOUGH WINS RACE 1 AT SILVERSTONE GP

Hitech Pulse-Eight driver Reza Seewooruthun has claimed his first C1RCUIT Watches Pole Position Award in the ROKiT British F4, certified by FIA in todays Qualifying session at Silverstone’s GP circuit today.

Seewooruthun had just 0.07 second over Jack Sherwood (Rodin Motorsport) in second, with Deagen Fairclough (Hitech Pulse-Eight) and James Higgins (Rodin Motorsport) close behind in third and fourth. Alex Ninoivc (Rodin Motorsport) qualified fifth, with Virtuosi Racing’s Maxwell Dodds in a season-best effort in sixth.

Deagen Fairclough’s second-fastest lap time was quick enough to secure him Pole Position for the weekend’s first race. Team-mate Reza Seewooruthun joined him on the front row, with the Rodin Motorsport trio of James Higgins, Jack Sherwood and Alex Ninovic rounding out the top 5.

Fairclough grabbed the lead straight off the line, from Reza Seewooruthun and James Higgins. Alex Ninovic was immediately applying the pressure to Higgins for the third podium position closely followed by Jack Sherwood.

JHR Development’s Ella Lloyd was the biggest mover early in the race, making up five spots on the opening lap.

Lap one saw a safety car called due to a stricken Sherwood, who was beached in the gravel trap. The race restarted with just under 12 minutes left on the clock.

Deagen Fairclough controlled the Safety Car restart, retaining his earlier lead and set about building a gap of 4.77 seconds back to Seewooruthun in second place, to cross the line and win his fifth race of the season.

Alex Ninovic managed to get ahead of James Higgins in the final minutes of the race to take the last spot on the podium. Higgins finished in fourth with Ella Lloyd rounding out the top 5.

Yuanpu Cui (Phinsys by Argenti) claimed the Rookie Cup win, ahead of a returning Joel Bergstrom (JHR Developments) and Martin Molnar (Virtuosi Racing) in third.

Hitech Pulse-Eight’s Deagen Fairclough claimed the Motul Fastest Lap Award and the accompanying additional championship point for the fastest lap in Race 1.

Race Two and Three at Round 5 of the ROKiT British F4 Championship will be held on Sunday at 1115hrs and 1540hrs respectively, and will be live streamed on the British F4 YouTube Channel.
