ROKiT F4 British Championship Certified by FIA 2023 champion driver, Louis Sharp, wasted no time in capitalising on his prize simulator experience, courtesy of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team.
Just five days after triumphing in his Tatuus F4-T421 in the tightest of championship battles at the Brands Hatch winner takes all contest, the Rodin Carlin driver was back in the seat again, this time in the Formula 1 simulator at the Mercedes team’s HQ at Brackley.
Louis spent a half-day at the home of the eight-time World Constructors’ Champions undertaking a full session in the Mercedes-AMG F1 simulator, following a similar programme to that of the team’s race drivers Sir Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, working closely with the team’s engineers throughout.
Following a pre-session briefing, Louis undertook a full driving programme, benefiting from feedback and coaching throughout before concluding with a post-session debrief.
Louis commented, “To be honest, I was completely blown away by the whole experience! It was fascinating the level of preparation and detail that we ran through and the F1 simulator was just another level! I really want to thank all the team at the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and ROKiT British F4 for what was an unforgettable experience. Hopefully in time, I’ll have the opportunity to be back in the F1 simulator doing race preparation!”
