The ROKiT F4 British Championship certified by FIA returns to Brands Hatch Indy this coming weekend, 6-7 May with 20 drivers bidding for points and trophies.
Round two takes place just a fortnight after the opening action at Donington Park where Louis Sharp and Noah Lisle, both from Rodin Carlin, cleaned-up taking pole positon and the three race wins between them. Sharp earned his position at the top of the standings with a front-row start to flag victory in race one followed by a 20th to first in the full reverse-grid and then a sixth in race three. Lisle clinched the third race win having led every lap from his pole position and building a 13.537 margin by the time he crossed the line.
Seven drivers claimed the nine available Donington Park podium places; in addition to Sharp and Lisle, team-mate Dion Gowda, Fortec Motorsport’s Aiden Neate, Chris Dittmann’s Jack Sherwood and Daniel Guinchard, and Jaden Pariat from Phinsys by Argenti all claimed top-three finishes.
Aided by the resurfaced track at Donington, new records were set at by Noah Lisle, with both Lisle and Sharp taking Motul Fastest Laps in the races, earning valuable championship points in the process.
Overall it’s Louis Sharp who heads into the Brands Hatch event in the lead. Noah Lisle is unable to challenge this weekend due to other racing commitments, however Dion Gowda, third in the championship, will be looking to capitalise on that opportunity. Josh Irfan was the Rookie Cup winner in two of the three Donington Park races and leads the Cup standings.
Qualifying starts at 10:25 on Saturday with Race One taking place at 13:40. The lights go out on Sunday at 10:25 for Race Two with Race Three live on ITV4 at 15:10.
