Phinsys by Argenti have confirmed Aiden Neate will remain with the team for a full assault on the ROKiT F4 British Championship certified by FIA title in 2022.

The 15-year-old Brit made his debut in Britain’s FIA Formula 4 series at the third event of the 2021 campaign at Brands Hatch and gained widespread acclaim for a rookie season that yielded three podium finishes, a brace of fastest laps and consistent, points-scoring form at the front of the field.

Neate was also awarded the prestigious Joe Tandy Racing Memorial Award in November in recognition of his attitude and efforts after switching from karting to single-seaters, and the son of former British Touring Car Championship racer Andy Neate is now back, and ready to kick off the championship’s new era with a full title tilt.

“I’m very excited to confirm I’ll be back in British F4 with Phinsys by Argenti for the 2022 season,” said Neate, also an avid Twitch streamer in his free time.

“I developed a lot as a driver across a part-season in the championship last year, and by the end we were regularly up front with the title contenders battling it out for podium finishes.

“I’m confident we can hit the ground running, and I’m sure a lot of my experience in the old car will transfer to the new one, which was another big draw in wanting to compete in the series again for this year.”

Team Principal Michael Meadows underlined his happiness at retaining Neate for 2022, and after narrowly missing out on the title last season, predicts another front-running campaign for his Banbury-based setup.

“British F4 is an exciting series, we’ve come close to the championship in previous years, and with Aiden on-board we have every opportunity to aim for it again in 2022,” explained Meadows.

“He’s a very exciting talent, and a driver we’ve really enjoyed working with over the last few months. To be able to have the benefit of a full winter working together will pay dividends in the long run, and I’m sure Aiden will pick up where he left off at the front of the field when we get to Donington Park in the Spring.”

Neate is the first driver to be confirmed at Meadows’ outfit for the upcoming season, with details on his team-mates to follow in the new year.
