Adam Fitzgerald graduates to ROKiT British F4 with Phinsys by Argenti

Phinsys by Argenti have announced Adam Fitzgerald as the third driver to join their line up for the 2022 ROKiT F4 British Championship certified by FIA.

The rising star from County Galway, Ireland graduates into Britain’s FIA Formula 4 series after a successful karting career, including a stint in the Senior X30 category of the Wera Tools British Karting Championships.

He becomes the third driver to be unveiled at Michael Meadows’ outfit for the 2022 season, joining the previously-announced Daniel Guinchard and Aiden Neate.

“I’m extremely grateful to have the opportunity to step up from karting and join Argenti Motorsport for the 2022 season,” said Fitzgerald.

“Pre-season testing has been going well with the team and I’ve been kept busy learning the British tracks and the new car for this season.

“I’m lucky to be surrounded by a great group of people with the same goals as me, and I can’t wait to get started in April.”

“We are happy to welcome Adam to Argenti for this step up into the F4 British Championship,” commented Team Principal, Michael Meadows.

“There is a lot to learn, as with all drivers new to single seaters, but we will work with him on every aspect to make sure he’s ready for the season ahead.”

2022 marks a new era in the championship’s history, with new organisers in Motorsport UK and a brand-new chassis in the Tatuus T-421, complete with state-of-the-art safety features such as a Halo-style cockpit protection device, re-inforced side anti-intrusion panels and on-board safety signalling systems.

Drivers – of which Fitzgerald becomes the eighth to confirm plans to enter the 2022 Championship – and teams will also have a brand new Abarth engine and Pirelli control tyres to get to grips with, meaning the standard of competition on-track is set to be higher than ever before.

The series commences at Donington Park at the end of April and runs through until the finale at Brands Hatch in October, with action broadcast live and free-to-air on ITV4.
