2024 ROKiT British F4 driver Abbi Pulling topped the timesheets in ABB FIA Formula E’s all-women test session.
The session, a first for an FIA World Championship, took place on Friday 8 November at Circuito del Jarama in Madrid, and included five drivers in total who featured in the ROKiT British F4 championship this season.
21-year-old Pulling, who finished seventh in British F4 this year with Rodin Motorsport, represented Nissan as she pipped multiple-W Series winner Jamie Chadwick, driving with Jaguar TCS Racing, to set the quickest time by three tenths.
All five 2024 British F4 drivers enjoyed a solid session.
Ella Lloyd, who finished 11th in British F4 in her first year of single seater racing with JHR Developments, set the seventh quickest time with NEOM McLaren, representing the team for the first time since joining the McLaren Driver Development Programme. Her team-mate Bianca Bustamante, who competed in British F4 at Zandvoort this year with Hitech Pulse-Eight, set the third quickest time in the Formula E test.
Carrie Schreiner, who featured at Silverstone GP and Zandvoort with Chris Dittmann Racing, went ninth quickest representing Maserati MSG Racing. Her British F4 team-mate at Zandvoort, Jess Edgar, set the 11th fastest time with DS Penske.
The three-hour session came as part of the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship’s pre-season testing schedule. The first-of-its-kind test provided elite women racing drivers the opportunity to drive the new-for-Season 11 GEN3 Evo race car, which is capable of 0-60 mph in just 1.82 seconds – 30% faster than a current F1 car.
