Ella Lloyd will contest a second season in British F4 after her debut last year, making the switch to Rodin Motorsport for the upcoming campaign.
With JHR Developments in 2024, Ella impressed during her first season in single seaters, picking up four podiums and finishing 11th overall in the standings.
During the close season, Ella joined the McLaren Driver Development programme and enjoyed the opportunity to take part in Formula E’s first Women’s Test in Valencia with NEOM McLaren.
She was also announced as part of Rodin Motorsport’s line-up in F1 Academy for 2025, representing McLaren, after a solid debut as a Wild Card driver in Singapore in September 2024 where she finished in the points in both races.
This year, she will be competing in a dual F1 Academy/British F4 campaign with the team.
Ella is familiar with Rodin Motorsport, having originally made her single seater debut with them in 2024 during a two-round cameo appearance in the Formula Winter Series, where she took female trophy classification wins in the championship.
After originally competing in showjumping and skiing – and enjoying success in both sports – Ella started out in motorsport aged 16 in Ginetta Juniors, scoring points in 15 out of 25 races in her debut year in 2022. The following year, she built on this progress in the Ginetta GT Championship, taking 17 podiums – including 10 wins – and claiming 10 pole positions as she finished as vice champion in the Pro Class.
Ella Lloyd: “I’m extremely excited to announce that I will competing in the 2025 British F4 championship as a dual program alongside F1 Academy with Rodin Motorsport and McLaren, I can’t wait to return for my second season in single seaters and looking forward to seeing what we can do as a team!”
Benn Huntingford, Rodin Motorsport Sporting Director: “It’s great to welcome Ella into the British F4 team this year. This dual programme will give her a lot of seat time and experience at this level, which will be fantastic for her development. She has shown brilliant promise so far and we are looking forward to seeing her develop this year.”
