Virtuosi Racing’s Edward Pearson has won the Pirelli ‘Hardest Charger’ award for the most recent ROKiT F4 British Championship certified by FIA event at Knockhill last weekend (29-31 July).
Pearson endured a difficult qualifying in tricky conditions, with the circuit damp, but drying, after rain throughout the morning in the Fife countryside, and with several lap times removed for exceeding track limits.
But when racing began, the Guildford-based driver excelled, the highlight being an impressive drive from 14th through to score points in 9th in the opening race. Those five overtakes were enough to win him the award, with Eduardo Coseteng (Hitech GP) and Noah Lisle (JHR) tying for second with two passes apiece.
Pearson scored further bonus points towards the championship standings by moving up from 14th to 12th in the reverse grid race, before ending the triple header with a similar drive to 11th, just shy of the top ten.
ROKiT British F4 heads next to Snetterton over the weekend of 12-14 August, 2022.
