British F4 announces 2027 Calendar

The Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by FIA has today (Wednesday 4th November) revealed its calendar for the 2027 season, with visits to two current iconic Formula 1 venues – Silverstone and Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps – included in the ten-event schedule.

On what promises to be another landmark campaign, the UK’s premier single-seater series is set to create more history as it makes its first-ever visit to the Ardennes to race on the support bill of the Formula 1 MSC Cruises Belgian Grand Prix.

Underlining its status as the place to race for fledgling international drivers, Britain’s Formula 4 category will also make two trips to the Home of British Motor Racing – with the first being on Silverstone’s legendary Grand Prix layout, as Britain’s premier single-seater series headlines the coveted BRDC International Trophy.

Once again, British F4 will support the British Touring Car Championship at eight race meetings and will continue to enjoy live free-to-air television coverage on ITV4 and ITVX. Those watching outside the UK can follow all of the action via the championship’s official YouTube channel.

A Season to Savour

As has been the case in recent years, the new campaign will begin with a trio of races taking place around the National layout of Donington Park on April 10-11. From there, the series will quickly gather momentum with no less than three events being staged across four weeks in May.

Brands Hatch Indy plays host to the second meeting of the year on May 8-9 before the championship heads to Silverstone a week later to battle for the BRDC International Trophy. Snetterton then concludes a busy few weeks with what promises to be a blockbuster outing on May 29-30.

The annual jaunt to Norfolk precedes a trip to Oulton Park in Cheshire where the championship will make a welcome return for the first time in two years on June 12-13 ahead of the summer break.

A historic outing around the world-famous Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps at the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix on July 23-25 kicks off the second half of the season ahead of trips to Croft, Donington Park (Grand Prix) and Silverstone (National) back on British soil.

British F4 series will then crown its champions and bring the curtain down on another hotly anticipated year of single-seater competition around the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit on October 8-9.

Eve Lake-Grange, British F4 Championship Manager:

“We are delighted to reveal our calendar for the 2027 season.

“This year we have witnessed yet another incredible year of competition and one of the key contributing factors towards this has been the diverse range of circuits we visit. Preserving that well-balanced mix of exciting venues was an integral part in putting together next year’s schedule.

“Competing at the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix is without a doubt one of the standout events however we are equally as enthusiastic about travelling the length and breadth of the UK and putting on a show at many of the iconic circuits we have on our doorstep.

“From former Grand Prix circuits such as Donington Park and Brands Hatch to our return to Oulton Park, our drivers will have unrivalled opportunities to hone their race craft and develop those foundational skills that will enable them to progress in the future.

“Maintaining our longstanding association with TOCA on the BTCC package, and the unparalleled exposure that it brings, is also a huge positive. Next year is already shaping up to be one of the biggest and best years yet for British F4 and we can’t wait to get going.”
