Haarni Sadiq will rejoin JHR Developments to target the Rookie Cup title as he steps back into the Wera Tools F4 British Championship, certified by the FIA paddock for a full 2026 programme.
British-born Haarni made his championship debut at Knockhill last season, becoming a points scorer in only the second race of his short British F4 career. He then missed the next round, before he gained valuable racing mileage around Silverstone and the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit to close out the year. Having only competed in three race weekends last season, he will be eligible for the Rookie Cup, and the free entry prize fund for 2027 worth £25,000 prize fund that comes with the title.
The 16-year-old will start his fi rst full year of car racing having only done two years of karting prior to making his F4 debut last August. After previously racing in the Ultimate Karting Championship and Junior Rotax Max in SuperOne, Haarni adapted well to the Tatuus T-421 last year and will be looking to build on that experience this season.
Testing is scheduled to get underway at the end of February to ensure Haarni and his JHR Developments teammates are as prepared as possible for the opening race weekend at Donington Park on the 18th and 19th April.
Haarni Sadiq said:
“I’m excited to be coming back with JHR Developments for my rookie season in British F4. I was pleased with how the results came together last year, but I know there’s a lot more to learn. I’m excited to keep building step-by-step with JHR. I’m confident I’m in the right environment and can now focus on building consistency, turning learning into performance over a full season.”
Steven Hunter, Team Principal said:
“We’re very happy to welcome Haarni back for a full season of racing in British F4. It’s never ideal to join a championship mid-season where you are competing against drivers who already have experience of the cars, but Haarni did well in the few races he did. I think that with the benefit of time to reflect over the winter, and a full testing programme ahead of the first race, he’ll be able to hit the ground running at Donington Park for round one.”
