Chinese driver Yuhao Fu is returning for a second British F4 campaign this year, making the move to Xcel Motorsport.
The 16-year-old finished 18th overall and sixth in the Rookie Cup with Virtuosi Racing in 2024.
Fu showed consistent improvement throughout his first full campaign in single seaters. He picked up two Rookie Cup podiums at Thruxton and Silverstone National, the latter being his first points finish of the season as he worked his way through the field from 21st to 10th.
He also competed in the Chinese F4 Championship with Black Blade Racing, amassing five podium finishes in total. At the final round at Zhuhai International Circuit in October 2024, Fu enjoyed his first two victories in single seaters. This helped him to earn an overall fourth-placed finish, despite only competing in three out of five rounds.
Often affectionately known as Felix amongst his team and the paddock, he made the step up from karting at the end of 2023 to participate in the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship, before later taking part in the 2024 F4 UAE Winter Series.
Following the conclusion of the 2024 British F4 season, Fu has been competing for Xcel Motorsport in the 2024 F4 UAE Trophy Series and the 2025 F4 Middle East Championship, and will remain with the team for their British F4 2025 campaign.
Paul Hardy, Xcel Motorsport Team Manager: “Yuhao has shown tremendous growth since joining us. His work ethic, adaptability, and raw speed are very good. We’re eager to continue building on the momentum we’ve created together in the UAE.”
