Hitech have confirmed a fourth driver for their 2025 British F4 campaign, as Australian Xavier Avramides steps up with the team for his first season in cars.
The 16-year-old has steadily progressed through the ranks in karting. After starting out in the Cadet class of the Australian Kart Championship in 2018, he went on to become Queensland state champion in 2022, before advancing through the OK, KZ and KZ2 categories in Europe since 2023, claiming race victories at each level.
Xavier Avramides: “Following my pre-season testing and getting to know the team, I am thrilled with this great opportunity that Hitech have given me.
“After meeting the team, my team-mates, and having a brief chance to work with them already, I couldn’t be more excited to begin this new chapter of my racing career.”
Dominic Stott, Team Manager: “We are delighted to welcome Xavier to the team for this season. Having tested with us towards the end of 2024, we were impressed with Xavier’s attitude and speed from the first few days. He still has a lot to learn, but working with the team we have put together we will be hoping for a strong year.
“It is always pleasing to provide drivers from as far afield as Australia with the opportunity to progress, and it shows how strong the British F4 Championship is for nurturing talent at this level.
“There are a lot of young karters coming through into F4 this year and with three rookies of our own in Xavier, Thomas and Fionn, paired with the experience of Leo, we believe we have all the right ingredients to defend our titles from last year against some strong competition.”
