Cole Hewetson is the second driver to be confirmed by Xcel Motorsport for their 2025 ROKiT British F4 campaign.
15-year-old Hewetson, from Cape Town, South Africa, will first make the step up to single seaters with the team in F4 UAE, before setting his sights on British F4 next year.
Cole, who started karting aged 12, brings with him an impressive pedigree and a determination to excel in his debut full season of single-seater racing.
He started the year racing in the WPMC Regionals and ROK Cup, as well as the Rotax RMC African Open, before enjoying his first taste of European racing in the WSK Euro Series, competing in the OK-N Senior category, and then the FIA Karting European Championship.
Cole also took on the 2024 Champions of the Future Euro Series and the FIA Karting World Championship, both at PFi in the UK, before racing two rounds of the Champions of the Future Academy Program in Dubai and Al Ain.
His move to Xcel Motorsport aligns with the team’s commitment to nurturing young talent and delivering strong results on the international stage.
Paul Hardy, Xcel Motorsport Team Manager, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Cole to the Xcel Motorsport family for the 2025 season. He has shown a huge amount of potential in pre-season testing, demonstrating not only raw speed but also the ability to adapt quickly to the car and different conditions. We believe he has the qualities needed to make a real impact in both the F4 UAE and British F4 championships, and we look forward to working with him to develop his skills further.”
