2025 Announcement: Chris Dittmann Racing sign Charlie Edge

Debutant Charlie Edge will race for Chris Dittmann Racing in the 2025 British F4 season, as the team makes its first driver announcement for the year ahead.

Charlie has been part of Chris Dittmann Racing’s driver development programme since mid-2024, beginning with simulator work before progressing to on-track testing towards the end of the year, in preparation for this season.

The 15-year-old from Worcestershire began racing indoor karts three years ago and won the outdoor N35 Lightweights Daytona Championship in 2023, securing 15 podiums. This success led to a drive in the Daniel Ricciardo ‘DRS100’ Series at the end of that year and into 2024, competing across nine race weekends and achieving several top 10 finishes.

CDR have stated that Charlie has committed to a two-year programme with the team, and that his focus this season is on continuing his development and aiming for Rookie Cup podiums, with plans to make further strides in 2026.

Charlie Edge: “Working with the team at Chris Dittmann Racing over the last nine months has been amazing, and the support from everyone there during that time has been incredible. I’m feeling really excited about my first season in British F4 and am looking forward to the first race weekend in April. With the team’s help, some good results will definitely be possible.”

Chris Dittmann, Team Owner: “We’re thrilled to welcome Charlie to the team for his debut season in the F4 British Championship. He’s made fantastic progress through our driver development programme, showing great promise both on the simulator and during on-track testing. It’s going to be a tough and competitive grid, but Charlie’s dedication and talent make us confident he’ll adapt quickly. We’re looking forward to supporting him as he develops and aims for strong performances, particularly in the Rookie Cup, throughout the season.”
