Kart champion Timo Jüngling to make British F4 debut with JHR Developments

Promising kart talent Timo Jüngling is set to make his Wera Tools F4 British Championship certified by the FIA debut with JHR Developments and is aiming for success in his first year of single-seater racing.

16-year-old Timo started racing when he was just five years old and since then, has achieved considerable success, securing the British Cadet Championship in 2021 and the Junior Rotax World Championship title in 2023 at the season finale in Bahrain. Adding to his achievements, last year he was crowned KZ2 FIA Vice World Champion in Franciacorta, Italy.

The London-native, has already got some laps under his belt in the Tatuus T-421 British F4 chassis after testing for four days pre-Christmas with the JHR Developments team in Spain. The youngster returned to Spain with the team earlier this month to kick start an extensive testing programme ahead of the first rounds of the championship in late April, ensuring Timo is fully prepared for his debut season.

Timo Jüngling said:
“I’m very excited to start my single seater journey with JHR Developments for the 2026 British F4 Season. I’m very thankful to JHR for this opportunity and I’m ready to make the most out of it. I look forward to the success we can achieve together.”

Steven Hunter, Team Principal, said:
“We are really excited to see how Timo gets on – going up against what will be a very competitive British F4 field. He has achieved great success in karting, and we are optimistic that he can continue that strong run of form on his single-seater debut. We have a lot of testing planned before the first races of the season, so he’ll have plenty of time to get acclimatised to driving a Formula 4 car. We’re looking forward to getting started!”
