Zack Scoular
Zack Scoular is to compete as a Rookie in the ROKiT Formula 4 British Championship certified by the FIA. The 16-year-old will drive for the Dubai-based Xcel Motorsport.
He is heading to the UK following a strong showing in the recently completed Formula 4 UAE Championship where more than 30 world-class drivers competed in each race. The teenager showed an impressive performance as a Rookie in the series with a best race result of 5th at the Dubai Autodrome.
“I’m really looking forward to driving in the ROKiT Formula 4 British Championship. It is a tough series with some fantastic drivers and a world-renowned history. I am confident we can do well.” Scoular said.
“I know Xcel Motorsport from my karting days and from the UAE Formula 4 Championship where I raced with Yas Heat Racing Academy. They have been very professional and supportive.”
The Dubai-based Scoular will begin his preparations for the championship with an extensive UK-based circuit testing program.
“This will help me learn the circuits and fully understand the tyres that are used in the British series,” he said.
Xcel Motorsport Team Manager, Paul Hardy, said he was delighted to have the teenager in his team for its British debut.
“It is fantastic to carry on working with Zack in our inaugural season in the ROKiT Formula 4 British Championship. Scoular has been with Xcel since 2017 and it has been incredible to watch his progress and development over the past 7 years. Zack is an excellent example of what a driver can achieve if they are willing to put in the required amount of hard work and dedication. We are very excited to see what he can do in the UK this season.”
