Ticktum is the Snetterton testing pacesetter

  •  Daniel Ticktum quickest in Norfolk for Fortec team
  • Carlin men Norris and Herta run him closest

SNETTERTON, 2 March, 2015 – Fortec driver Daniel Ticktum showed his young rivals a clean pair of heels at Snetterton today, topping the timesheets in both MSA Formula test sessions. In the morning runs 15-year-old Ticktum beat Carlin’s Lando Norris to top spot by 0.474s, and in the afternoon both drivers improved their pace, with Ticktum widening the gap to 0.67s.

Daniel was the only driver to break the 1m 52s mark around the 3-mile Norfolk circuit, setting a best lap of 1m 51.916.

Norris and his team-mate Carlton Herta ended the day second and third, just ahead of JTR running mates James Pull and Dan Baybutt, with last week’s Brands Hatch testing pacesetter Ricky Collard sixth fastest for Arden after what he described as a “difficult day”.

The Ford EcoBoost-powered MSA Formula test bandwagon rolls on to Donington Park on Thursday.
