Racing rookie Vaidyanathan joins MSA Formula

• Third seat at JTR for Indian national

25 March, 2015 – There will be two Indian drivers on the grid for the forthcoming season of MSA Formula – Certified by FIA, Powered by Ford EcoBoost, with the announcement today that 18-year-old Ameya Vaidyanathan will pilot a third JTR team car.

Dubai-based Vaidyanathan will join the championship from the second meeting onwards. The car-racing novice has undertaken an extensive pre-season test programme with Team Pyro, but plans to get further miles under his belt – under the watchful eye of his coach, ex-F3 star Riki Christodolou, before making his MSA Formula debut.

The championship’s other Indian driver is 17-year-old Tarun Reddy, who will race with Double R. Vaidyanathan will partner British drivers Dan Baybutt and James Pull in Nick Tandy’s JTR team.
