2019 F4 British Championship calendar announced

13 JUNE, 2018 – The provisional calendar for the 2019 F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost has been announced. The UK’s leading junior single-seater series will once again visit the country’s finest race circuits. For the first time since its inception it will visit Thruxton, the UK’s fastest race circuit, on two occasions with Rockingham dropping off the roster.

The Indy circuit of Brands Hatch remains the curtain-raiser on 6/7 April, followed by Donington Park three weeks later. The first of the season’s meetings at Thruxton will take place on 18/19 May.

Oulton Park and Croft have swapped places in the schedule. The latter will provide the stage for motorsport’s future stars on 15/16 June, a fortnight prior to visiting Oulton Park.

The season recommences at Snetterton five weeks later at the beginning of August, before the field heads to Thruxton for the second time in 2019.

The F4 British Championship will then make its annual pilgrimage north of the border to Knockhill. Silverstone, home of the British Grand Prix, is the next on the cards, with the season finale set to take place at the GP configuration of Brands Hatch on 12/13 October.

The F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost will be contested over 30 races in 2019 as the sole single-seater support series to the UK’s premier motorsport package, the live televised British Touring Car Championship.

It will see some of motorsport’s brightest young talents compete for the prestigious title of FIA British Formula 4 Champion and coveted Super Licence points to enable their progression up the FIA single-seater pyramid.

5 JUNE, 2017 – The provisional calendar for the 2018 F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost has been announced. Next season’s instalment of the UK’s leading junior single-seater series will once again see Ford’s EcoBoost-powered stars do battle at the UK’s finest race circuits.

The Indy circuit of Brands Hatch remains the curtain-raiser on 7/8 April, followed by Donington Park which has been moved back a week. Thruxton, Oulton Park and Croft are all now two weeks later, shortening the summer break.

The season recommences at Snetterton at the end of July before heading to Rockingham which has swapped places in the schedule with Knockhill. The latter taking place on 25/26 August to coincide with the late summer Bank Holiday weekend; ahead of the final meetings of the season at the home of the British Grand Prix Silverstone, and the finale at the GP configuration of Brands Hatch on 29/30 September.

2017 F4 British Championship calendar announced

15 JUNE, 2016 – The provisional calendar for the 2017 F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford has been announced. Next season’s installment of the UK’s leading junior single-seater series will once again see Ford’s EcoBoost-powered stars do battle at the UK’s finest race circuits.

Brands Hatch (Indy) on 1/2 April will be the curtain raiser, whilst Croft denotes the half-way point of the campaign in June before the traditional summer break. The season then bursts back into life at Snetterton at the end of July; ahead of what is sure to be yet another climactic title run-in, reaching fever-pitch at Brands Hatch (GP) on September 30/October 1.

2017 represents the 50th year of Ford’s ongoing commitment to developing young drivers. It will see motorsport’s brightest young talents compete for the prestigious title of British F4 Champion and a host of coveted Superlicence points to enable their progression up the FIA motorsport ladder.

The 2016 season of the F4 British Championship has captured the imagination and showcased single-seater racing at its very best. Petru Florescu currently sits at the top of the standings with a 22 point lead from an array of championship challengers including Carlin team-mates Max Fewtrell, James Pull and Devlin DeFrancesco, as well as JHR’s Sennan Fielding and TRS Arden’s Luis Leeds. The wheel-to-wheel action continues at Croft this weekend where British F4 is sure to entertain once more.
