Silverstone has been chosen to host the official 2021 F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost Season Launch on Saturday, 27th March.
Britain’s FIA Formula 4 series will make the journey to the Northamptonshire circuit’s 1.6-mile National circuit at the end of the month to offer drivers more invaluable winter testing mileage, as well as an opportunity to unveil their new liveries to the world ahead of the upcoming season.
Unfortunately, given the current COVID-19 restrictions, access will be severely restricted, and the Season Launch will not be open to spectators.
Several drivers have already confirmed their spot on the grid, with a whole raft of further announcements due in the coming weeks as the clock ticks towards the season opener at Thruxton on 8th-9th May.
Once again this season, the series will occupy a coveted slot on the high-profile British Touring Car Championship support package, which benefits from live ITV4 television coverage and a capacity trackside following, once the current situation allows.
“I’m very pleased to be able to confirm Silverstone will host our official Season Launch ahead of the 2021 season,” said Championship Promoter, Sam Roach.
“It’s a world-famous venue, and the perfect place to introduce the ‘Class of 2021’ to the world’s media ahead of what promises to be another exciting season.
“I’ve been watching the announcements come through with great interest, and all the signs are there that we’ll have another thrilling title battle to enjoy again this year – and that’s not counting those still yet to be announced!”
