Arden Motorsport’s Roman Bilinski is aiming for more silverware in the F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost after claiming his maiden podium in the series at Oulton Park.
The Polish racer finished third in tricky wet conditions in the reverse grid race at Oulton Park last weekend, marking his first trip to the rostrum in Britain’s FIA Formula 4 series.
That, combined with sixth in the opener and seventh in the ITV4-televised final race in Cheshire, has moved Bilinski into eighth overall in the standings, just 5 points adrift of Christian Mansell ahead.
Bilinski has built up a solid run of form in the last six races, taking career-best results at each of the last two events as he continues to acclimatise to single seaters.
Heading to the ultra-challenging Knockhill circuit, near Fife, this weekend (29-30 August), Bilinski insists the aim now is to repeat that podium-contending pace, and can’t wait to translate his simulator work back at Arden’s HQ to the real thing.
“During each race at Oulton Park I learnt more and progressed further, so all in all I was happy with all three races,” explained Bilinski.
“I was so pleased to get my first podium in race two. That was a great feeling and I want more of that!
“Knockhill is going to be a new track for me, I’ve had a look at it on the simulator and I can’t wait to see what I can do.”
