Qualifying times reinstated after track limits reporting error

Drivers adjudged to have exceeded track limits during qualifying for the F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost at Snetterton have had their lap times re-instated by officials.

Ten drivers – McKenzy Cresswell, Marcos Flack, Roman Bilinski, Abbi Pulling, James Hedley, Joel Granfors, Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, Eduardo Coseteng, Thomas Ikin and Georgi Dimitrov – were all incorrectly reported to Race Control for infringements during the session.

As a result, these drivers have all had their best lap times restored to the final classification, which has some bearing on the final order for Rounds 4 this afternoon.

JHR Developments’ Matthew Rees remains on pole position with Oliver Gray alongside and McKenzy Cresswell behind in second and third respectively, as was previously reported.

Hedley moves up to fourth, demoting Joseph Loake, Bilinski, Pulling and Matias Zagazeta to sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth respectively.

Granfors remains tenth, with Inthraphuvasak leapfrogging Zak Taylor and team-mate Dougie Bolger into 11th. Eduardo Coseteng moves ahead of Kai Askey for 14th,  with Georgi Dimitrov similarly promoted to 16th.

Thomas Ikin will start 17th, with Arden team-mate David Morales now on reverse grid pole position for Round 5 this evening.
