Two penalties have been awarded following Round 16 of the F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost at Thruxton this afternoon (Sat 28 Aug).
Matias Zagazeta has been issued with a 1-second time penalty after he was adjudged to have contravened Motorsport UK regulation C2.3, namely gaining an unfair advantage whilst attempting to pass Oliver Gray for the race lead.
Phinsys by Argenti have appealed the decision, so until such a time as a verdict is reached, the Peruvian remains the provisional winner ahead of Gray and third-placed Abbi Pulling.
Carlin’s Dougie Bolger has also been awarded a 5.0 second time penalty for causing a collision with Joseph Loake (JHR Developments), who span at the Club chicane as a result of the contact and inadvertently took out Bolger’s team-mate James Hedley.
