Several penalties handed out during Round 11 of the F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost at Oulton Park have led to a re-shuffling of the race result.
Following contact between Joel Granfors and Abbi Pulling at the Island Hairpin whilst debating fourth position, officials have adjudged Granfors to be at fault for causing the collision, and as a result the positions have been reversed in the final result.
Marcos Flack (Argenti) had earlier been disqualified for re-joining the circuit through the Fosters loop after spinning with David Morales (Arden) at Cascades, but the stewards have rescinded the penalty on appeal, and the Australian will instead serve a 5-place grid drop for this afternoon’s race for causing a collision.
Roman Bilinski was also been given a formal written reprimand for contact with Aiden Neate (Argenti) at Cascades, with the former also awarded two penalty points. Following a stewards review, the penalty was rescinded, with Neate instead given a warning.
