28 MARCH, 2018 – Arden Motorsport has completed its 2018 line-up for the F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost by confirming Patrik Pasma as its fourth driver.
Pasma made his British F4 debut last season. The Finn claimed four podium finishes with Carlin on his way to eighth in the standings and came tantalisingly close to victory at Rockingham Motor Speedway, having led for almost the entire duration of a thrilling race. Pasma now joins Arden in a bid to be crowned FIA British Formula 4 Champion.
2018 marks Pasma’s third season of single-seater racing in the UK. He made his debut in the BRSCC Formula Ford 1600 Championship – taking third in the coveted Triple Crown Event, before making the step up to British F4 in 2017.
Pasma joins Red Bull Juniors Jack Doohan and Dennis Hauger, as well as Sebastian Priaulx – son of triple World Touring Car Champion and Ford GT driver Andy Priaulx, to complete a squad boasting plenty of talent.
“I’m very excited to start the new season with a new team,” said Pasma. “This will be my second season in British F4 and I am determined to challenge for the title. I can’t wait to get my racing helmet on!”
Added Arden F4 team manager Ben Bloomfield: “We are delighted that Patrik completes Arden’s British F4 team for 2018 and so far, he’s shown impressive pace right from the first test.
“We have always been in it to win it and with Patrik we believe we can. However it will be no easy task against our competitors which have shown very strongly in pre-season testing.
“Patrik is very focused and is great to work with. He is in good shape having worked on his fitness throughout the winter and has the championship title firmly in his sights.”
The opening rounds of the F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost take place on 7/8 April at Brands Hatch.
