Louis Foster awarded BRDC Rising Star status

F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost racer Louis Foster has been awarded Rising Star status by the British Racing Drivers Club.

The BRDC, founded in 1928, is one of the most prestigious and exclusive motor racing clubs in the world, with membership a highly sought-after accolade.

Following a recent interview at the Club’s HQ at Silverstone, Double R Racing’s Foster has been awarded membership of the Rising Star scheme, designed to develop and nurture the next generation of motorsport talent. He will be able to remain with the scheme until the age of 24.

The famous blue roundel will feature on his racing overalls for the final three meetings of the 2019 season, starting next month at Knockhill.

β€œI am absolutely over the moon to have been selected as a BRDC Rising Star,” said Foster.

β€œIt is an honour to be recognised by such a prestigious club that has such deep roots in British motorsport. I must thank everyone who has helped me to get to this point – it is certainly a very proud day for myself, family and sponsors.”

Foster lies third in the championship standings with three race victories and a further five podium finishes from 21 starts. The gap to points leader Zane Maloney stands at 77 markers, with a total of 225 still on the table in the remaining nine rounds.
