JHR Developments’ James Hedley is eager for the 2020 F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost season to begin after a positive day at the series’ official test at Snetterton.
The reigning Ginetta Junior champion clocked a best time of 1:52.022 around the 2.96-mile Norfolk track to go second fastest overall behind Argenti’s Casper Stevenson, and was rarely outside the top three across the full seven hours of track time.
Snetterton is among Hedley’s strongest circuits; in 2019 he took a hat-trick of podiums from four races in Ginetta Juniors – ditto his JHR team, who had a driver on the podium in each F4 race at the same track last year.
“It was a really positive day, second overall and consistently in the top three all day,” explained Hedley.
“There is definitely more time to be had through the first sector, however the same can’t be said for the middle sector as we were purple through there!
“There’s work to be done, but we are looking strong for the season ahead and I can’t wait for it to start!”
Hedley will be joined at Steven Hunter’s outfit in 2020 by fellow Ginetta graduates Abbi Pulling and Nathanael Hodgkiss.
The new season begins at Donington Park, Leicestershire, over the weekend of 01-02 August.
