- 17 year-old aiming to take advantage of his wealth of experience in quest for title.
19 March, 2016 – Petru Florescu will remain with Carlin for his second season in Ford British F4. The Romanian was a regular top ten finisher in the Ford EcoBoost powered series in 2015 and has undertaken an extensive testing programme during the winter. Florescu is the final driver to be confirmed in Carlin’s four car squad alongside Max Fewtrell, James Pull and Devlin DeFrancesco.
Said Florescu: “I am very happy to be able to stay with Carlin for a second season. I learned a lot last year and I am eager to fight for the top spots in the series this year.”
Trevor Carlin added: “I’m pleased to have Petru with us for another season in Ford British F4. He is a great driver to work with and has developed extremely well within the team.
“Petru always works hard with the engineers and I have no doubt that this season he will be fighting at the front. We’ve seen the determination he has since he joined the Carlin Academy two years ago. We’re looking forward to starting the season with our strong four car line-up.”
Florescu will commence his Ford British F4 title assault at Brands Hatch on 2/3 April.
