Arden Motorsport’s Tommy Foster is looking forward to the challenge of fighting his way back into the F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost title frame after a frustrating first half of the season.
Misfortune has set the Cornish racer back a stretch in the standings, but with a maximum score of 375 points still available over the final five meetings of the season, the YRDA member will have every opportunity to haul himself back into contention.
The highlights of the season thus far for Foster include pole position at the high-speed Thruxton, along with a best finish of fourth on no fewer than four occasions. Based on that, a first trip to the podium is surely just around the corner.
His efforts have also helped contribute towards Arden’s third place in the Teams Cup, with the Red Arrows ready to give chase to Carlin and Double R Racing ahead.
“It has been a very frustrating start to the season for me,” explained Foster.
“I have had some good qualifying results including fastest laps and pole position at Thruxton but have had some unfortunate on track incidents which have resulted in positions which I didn’t deserve and some mechanical issues which the team worked hard to resolve.
“However I am not despondent and am looking forward to turning things around for the second part of the season.”
The championship resumes at Snetterton, Norfolk, over the weekend of 3rd-4th August.
