One of international karting’s stand-out names in recent years, 2021 will mark Kai Askey’s first foray into single seaters as he joins Carlin in British F4.

It follows an extensive testing programme during 2020’s pandemic-hit schedule, with Askey building up mileage on both French shores with the FFSA Academy, and in the UK with Trevor Carlin’s outfit.

The 15-year-old began his karting career in Singapore, then at British Championship level after moving back to the UK, before a switch to international competition followed, with Askey running strongly across the CIK-FIA, WSK and DKM categories before turning his attention to the FIA Single Seater pyramid.

His team-mates for this season will be Roman Bilinski, Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak and Dougie Bolger.
