Croft race two cancelled amid worsening weather conditions

The second F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost race at Croft today has been cancelled due to worsening weather conditions after the race start.

An attempt to run the reverse-grid race was made, but red-flagged after a single racing lap as rain hit the 2.1-mile Yorkshire circuit again, adding to the standing water already present.

The championship organisers can confirm their intention to re-run the race at a future event, but conversations remain ongoing with TOCA about the specific details and more information will be released in due course.

Josh Skelton (JHR Developments) had led the field at the time of the red flag, but with the race cancelled, no points have been awarded and the race is null and void in terms of the championship.

The final F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost race of the weekend is scheduled to get underway at 15:20 BST tomorrow [16th June].
