JHR Developments’ Carter Williams insists he can come back after the summer break and compete regularly for race victories in the F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost.
The American’s pace has been evident since his debut in Britain’s FIA-backed junior single-seater series, with the highlight so far being podiums on his debut weekend at Brands Hatch, and last time out at Oulton Park.
‘Unlucky’ has been something of a buzz word for Williams’ season so far, with just a single top-six finish in the intervening period between those trips to the podium. The pace has been evident – now Williams says the goal is to come back on a charge after the summer break and kick-start his title challenge.
“The first half of the year overall has been promising,” said Williams.
“We have had the pace for sure, just could use a bit of luck. I have thoroughly enjoyed being in British F4 and working with JHR. I cannot wait to regroup over the summer break and come back even stronger for the second half of the season.
Also having two podiums up to the point, even though I feel we could have had a few more, is fantastic.
“I feel confident we can come back in the second half of the season and fight for wins.”
The F4 British Championship resumes at Snetterton, Norfolk, over the weekend of 3rd-4th August.
