3 MAY, 2017 – The F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost returns to the track on 6-7 May at Thruxton Circuit and thoughts remain with Billy Monger following his saddening accident at Donington Park.
In the weeks that have followed, the motorsport community has rallied in a touching display of solidarity in support of the 17-year-old. A myriad of fundraising activities have taken place and the F4 British Championship would like to wish the best of luck to all those who are raising funds for Billy this weekend and beyond.
The F4 British Championship will show its support for Billy with prominent #ForzaBilly signage set to adorn all British F4 cars at Hampshire’s Thruxton Circuit. Ford Motor Company has agreed that the message of support will take over its branding on the rear wing of each British F4 car.
The British F4 Virtual Reality Experience has proved a real hit at the opening rounds of the season. At Thruxton fans will once again get the chance to experience life as a British F4 driver in the Ford Race Centre in the Support Paddock. This time it’s all in aid of Billy, with everyone who enters into the Ford EcoBoost-powered virtual world encouraged to kindly make a donation which will go towards his recovery.
A crowdfunding site has been set up to raise funds for Billy and his family, to contribute towards the specialist treatments that will be needed for his recovery. To donate to this fund please visit: http://bit.ly/2pggxoJ.
