Arden Motorsport’s Bart Horsten is aiming to come back stronger than ever when the F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost resumes after the summer break.
The Australian has made a positive start to life in the Ford EcoBoost-powered series, with six podiums – including a maiden victory at Donington Park – already to his name after the opening five rounds.
Horsten currently sits fourth overall in the standings – the highest-placed of Arden’s three ‘Red Arrows’ – with a 99-point deficit to current leader Zane Maloney and a maximum score of 400 still on the board.
“I’ve really enjoyed driving the tracks in the UK and am looking forward to competing at more of them in the second half of the season,” said Horsten.
“It’s great that I have been able to improve my qualifying performances throughout the year so far and I am aiming to keep working hard and improving as the year goes on.”
He also paid tribute to Arden Motorsport and the support team at the YRDA, highlighting their vital role in his development as a driver so far in 2019.
“I am so fortunate to have a great team of people around me at Arden Motorsport and in the Young Racing Driver Academy,” added Horsten.
“They provide me with the opportunity to develop as a driver, both on and off the racetrack. I wouldn’t have made the progress I have without their assistance and support.
“The summer break has come at a good time for me and will allow me to relax and escape from racing for a few weeks and so I can return reinvigorated and focused on the second half of the season.”
The championship resumes at Snetterton, Norfolk, over the weekend of 3rd-4th August.
